7 members of Black Country have conquered the new Ironman UK course at Bolton.

I was doing the timing at the Upton triathlon, Its possibly got the fastest Swim split of any race I have ever attended so those of you slow swimmers should get your entry in early for next year becasue this event will fill right up.

In an imensely strong field James Ratcliffe pulls a very respectable thrid with Paul Rogers Finishing first Vet.

Helena raced the burntwood aquathon on Sunday (27th November) managed to grab first in her age group (35-39) with 4th overall in the womens race.

Well Family Evans (Mark and Lauren competeing) Jane Poutney, Lydia Edwards and Stuart Steele made their way for what can only be described as the north pole (sheffield) for the 37th Annual Biathlon Championships.

Chris Nicoll has finished Ironman Austria in the stellar time of 9:42:36.

The BCT results from the Halesowen Triathlon.

So its early and I am tired and what better way to waste the day than ride out and watch the first few on the Wenlock Triathlon.

A cracking day out for all concerned saw BCT bring home silverware ( or alcohol as favoured by WTC) in three categories.

Beautiful day, good racing distances and quite a tough bike and run course, both hilly, traffic lights on bike (4sets) caused most problems as no one to take down numbers, most people lost out a bit, Nicoll got caught at three significantly.

Winners and placing all around (although mainly from the Evans familiy) on a variable day in Wombourne.

Its anything but flat! Scenic and a very quiet village and well worth the journey.

Once again, Apologies if I have missed anyone in particular, its nothing personal.

A field of about 80 competitors for a relatively low key but well organised event at a school venue on the outskirts of Hereford, three BCT members took part with Chris Nicoll returning from injury to finish strongly.

Cool damp morning, slight breeze near perfect conditions, undulating course, some real hills to surprise a few who set off too hard.

On one of the first true summer days of 2004 Paul Rogers sets off for a fifty mile trip to race the Malvern Triathlon and Wins.
