Club Relays 27th & 28th August 2011

This year there has been a change to the usual format for the Club Relays 27th/28th August .
Saturday. AM. Mixed only.
Saturday. PM. Ladies only
Sunday. AM. Men.
We don’t have exact start times yet - we’ll email them out as soon as possible. Last year as a guide, morning races started 08:30, with afternoon starting at 13:30. It’s worth arriving a couple of hours before the start in order to collect race numbers and timing chips. This year we have decided to ‘pitch camp’ on the grass the far side of the run transition area which should ensure a good viewing point for both run and bike legs with those supporting and waiting to race getting closer to the action. Look out for the club flags and gazebos. The numbers, timing chips and t shirts will be here. There is no need to register individually as Andy will register teams Friday night.
The cost to enter each team is £160. The club will continue to subsidise our teams and the cost to each person racing is £30 for BTF members and £35 for non-BTF members. There is a £5 charge for a day licence hence the difference in price. We are again providing a club t shirt for all those taking part. Andy will collect money (and the BTF cards of all those who are members) at swim sessions from the 13th August.
Andy has put the teams in running order with the better swimmers (sacrificial lambs) in each team off first. If we stick with this order it will be easier to obtain your splits after the event. This year over the 2 days we have 14 teams racing in what should be a very enjoyable event for the club.
